Clego Cleaning Services · ABN 29 476 324 829 · 132 Kavanagh Street, Southbank VIC 3006, Australia. Last updated 27 July 2026.

1. Overview

Clego Cleaning Services (“Clego”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you enquire about or book a cleaning service, how we use and store it, and the rights you have over it under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly when you get a quote or make a booking, including:

  • Name and contact details (phone number, email address, WhatsApp number).
  • Property address and details relevant to the clean (size, number of bedrooms/bathrooms, access instructions).
  • Booking preferences (service type, date, time, add-ons).
  • Payment information, which is collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — Clego does not store your full card details.
  • Any messages you send us via WhatsApp, phone, email, or our website forms.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Our website may also collect basic, non-identifying analytics (such as which pages are viewed) to help us understand how the site is used.

3. Why we collect it

  • To provide a quote and confirm, schedule and deliver your booked cleaning service.
  • To process payment for services rendered.
  • To contact you about your booking (confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, or to follow up on our Bond-Back Guarantee).
  • To respond to enquiries and complaints.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations (for example, tax and GST record-keeping).
  • With your consent, to send you occasional offers or updates — you can opt out at any time by telling us via WhatsApp or email.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary to deliver our service:

  • Our cleaning crews and vetted sub-contractors — only the booking details needed to complete your clean (address, access instructions, service scope).
  • Payment processors (Stripe) — to process card payments securely; Stripe has its own privacy policy governing this data.
  • Messaging platforms (WhatsApp Business, email providers) — to communicate with you about your booking.
  • Government or regulatory bodies — only where required by Australian law.

We do not transfer personal information overseas except where a service provider above (such as Stripe or WhatsApp) processes data outside Australia as part of their standard global infrastructure.

5. Data storage and security

We store booking and contact information using reputable, secure providers, and take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect it from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Card payment details are handled entirely by Stripe under PCI-DSS standards — Clego never sees or stores full card numbers.

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide our services, meet legal/accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years for financial records under Australian tax law), and resolve any disputes.

6. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it.
  • Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 8 below. We will respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

7. Cookies and website analytics

Our website may use basic cookies or similar technology to remember simple preferences (such as your chosen language or light/dark mode) and to understand overall site usage. These do not identify you personally. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.

8. Complaints and contact

If you have a question or concern about how we handle your personal information, contact us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly:

If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. Any update will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date above.
